[ Genos will give Stahn a little nod in agreement as he continued to shove the reset of the sandwich down the hatch. And...the rest goes rather uneventfully as well. When completed, Genos simply raises his hand calmly to indicate that he's done—in record time apparently as the food vendors look at Genos suspiciously initially.
But a contest was a contest and he is given his free shirt.
However, when he tries to get up from his seat there's a slight problem... There are a few false starts as Genos tries to get up from his seat until he looks right at Stahn and says rather solemnly: ]
[well, up until the attempts to stand, stahn remains in good spirits—energetic, and completely impressed (maybe downright awed) by the fact that genos could pull something that seemed so impossible.
but stahn notices the false starts, and though it's a bit of a red flag, it's not until genos addresses it directly that he fully realizes something isn't right. that brightness fades, being replaced by a rather intense sense of concern.]
[ Genos will continue to remain calm as not to worry Stahn any further but any further attempts he makes to get up and move are all futile. ]
No, I feel fine however I... [ The seems a little embarrassing. ]
It appears I'm in the middle of processing of all of the organic matter that I've eaten and thus can't move.
[ Of all things. It's not a huge problem but if he was a human it would translate into being in a "food coma" effectively. Genos looks a little disheartened by the fact that this happened to him. So close to victory and yet—! ]
even though genos feels fine, it's still worrisome that he can't move at all. the truth of the matter is that there's still a whole lot about genos that stahn couldn't possibly begin to understand at all—with time, he'll definitely ask a lot of questions to sate his curiosity, but for now? he's pretty concerned.]
Will you be okay? Is there anything I can do to help?
I'm not certain. I've never encountered this situation before.
[ As bad as it sounds, Genos hardly seems too worried. Not being able to move in a situation where he was required to move, was definitely bad however there was no danger present nor anything he should be wary of. And even if there was, he would find a way to move if he had to.
No, this was really just a huge inconvenience as things stood right now. ]
However, seeing that there is nothing indicating that I am in any sort of danger, perhaps I should just "relax" and allow my body to process the sandwich.
[it does seem like it might be a problem. maybe not the most serious problem to encounter, but it's enough to cause stahn a bit of concern. so he settles in his chair a bit, nodding his head.] I'll stay with you, then, just in case something happens.
[he couldn't dream of leaving genos alone until he was at least able to move on his own. stahn doesn't really get how it all works, but what kind of friend would just be like "deal with that on your own, see ya?"
(leon, probably.)
stahn's not like that though, and his honest curiosity about how genos functions is probably just a small contributing factor in this.]
[ Bless Stahn for being the kind of friend who would stick with you while you're doing a lot of nothing. What a good man. Genos appreciates it even if he wouldn't have held it against Stahn for leaving. ]
Thank you. [ There's...sadly not much to do as Genos allows his body to process all of the food that he just ate. He doesn't look any different nor feels any different and guesses this time is where one might fill with small talk?
Though was Genos really good with such things? (No.) ]
[stahn's probably enough of a conversationalist for the both of them if it was really necessary—his boundless energy and friendliness... and curiosity can be thanked for that.
but genos figures out a starting point before he does, though it's one that honestly surprises stahn.]
[ Praise Stahn and those abilities, to be honest. Genos can be rather chatty but only about certain things. Still, he'll answer Stahn's question with the utmost seriousness. ]
I did not enter the contest to win any sort of prize and have no need for a shirt. [ He'll hold out the shirt for Stahn to either reject or accept. All nice and folded and with proper manners too, of course. ]
Also, do you not share you winnings among friends?
[stahn looks at the shirt for a moment, but he doesn't yet reach for it. it's not that he won't take it—it would be rude if he refused if genos were to insist, after all.]
Yeah, I guess so... But that's usually for bigger prizes. You earned that with what you did, so...! [stahn would feel bad just taking it when he didn't do anything. what a conundrum.]
[ He'll nudge it towards Stahn just a little bit more. Come on, you know you want it. It's got fancy lettering and a great graphic design! ]
I insist. Please Stahn, it would be a great service for me if you were to take it.
[ He's not trying to pawn it off, honest, he's just figures this is a little thing that he can do for a friend. Stahn's been a good guy to him and Genos should give him something to show that appreciation, right? ]
[then stahn won't say no. he thinks it would be much more rude to refuse an offer of kindness. stahn wouldn't be put out if someone did that to him, but he gets it—there's a sentiment behind those actions he gets.]
Then I can't turn it down. It's really nice of you to offer, Genos! [he'll take the shirt, even bowing his head a bit in appreciation. it may be just a nice gesture, but it's still something genos had earned.] Thank you!
[how can one person be so appreciative of a shirt? it's probably a mystery.]
