[ The alien vendor is pretty big and if thrown could probably knock over all of the cans and then some. It doesn't seem like the vendor themselves realizes that yet, but Genos certainly does and doesn't say anything but looks at her current score. She either needed 70 more points or if the vendor was incapacitated, then he could make his escape.
Needless to say, Genos is quietly cheering her on. ]
HEY! Are you gonna answer me? Too stupid to realize what you're doing? Is that it?
[70 could be a hit if she gets it all in one go. The only problem now is how heavy the alien vendor is, but he looks like the size of an average sized beast they've often lugged around outside in the jungle. Should be fine, right?!
She did consider safer options since Genos' life is at stake here, until the alien started to insult her.]
. . .
[Genos, she's so happy for your support because this alien needs to go down for being rude. Well, he was rude enough to make Genos into a prize anyway, so...
She grabs one of the tentacles that was probably waving at her accusingly and swinging violently enough, attempts to fling this beast into the challenges.
[ Don't worry, Genos can definitely see where this is going and he'll be wasting no time taking advantage of the first chance he gets to get out of there. Her violent swinging causes the the cans to be knocked over (along with a good chunk of the stand itself, how it remains standing is a testament of the structural integrity, or something).
150 points.
Well, looks like she wins fair and square, so even if the vendor complains later, they don't have a lot of ground to stand on. And as soon one of the tentacles loosens its grip on him, Genos wedges enough room for him to escape and hops out of its hold and away from the stand.
The "poor" vendor is beside themselves flailing and wailing at the cause of the carnage. Really though, they sort of brought this upon themselves. ]
[Goodbye stand, goodbye cans. Hello needed score! Vietnam has no time to cheer though, only quickly glancing at the score in relief before she rushes over to Genos to help pull him away from the stand and check him over. Did they curse him?!?!?!]
[ Genos will allow himself to be pulled away even though there isn't much that the debris that falls on him will do to him. He's honestly surprisingly calm despite all of the sudden chaos. ]
I am fine, thank you.
[ He'll glance back at the damage that was caused and...they should probably get a move on so that should any repercussions that try to come from this, will be wiped away. ]
We should probably move along before the guest wakes up.
I am ready now. [ And like that, he'll be off...at a reasonable pace so not to draw any sort of unwanted attention to them. Not that there is any reason for anyone to be staring at them. It's not as if they caused any sort of wreckage that was unwarranted.
Once they get a little distance between them, he'll give her his thanks. ]
This is the second time you've helped me. Thank you.
[ More like thank you Vietnam for being excellent??
But when they stop, Genos will try to look at the other stands and keep an eye out to make sure that there's no one else in the same situation that he might have been. ]
I imagine they might have taken me apart if I was not won by someone else. [ Genos that's morbid. ]
She starts looking around, wondering what he was looking for. Although, if it was for other victims, she would try her best for them too.
That is, until he hypothesises what could've happened to him, and she looks at him in horror.]
Well...I am unsure about the vendors, but as long as you do not fall into CERES' hands! [She's endured their torture before, the last thing she would wish on anyone else.]
[ Look, if anyone is going to judge, it shouldn't be either one of them because clearly they're both okay with a little bit of destruction. And as they both look around, it seems like no one else is having any sort of trouble (thankfully). Looks like it was only that skeevy jerk who was involved in shady business.
Well, that is until he notices the way that Vietnam is clearly distraught about his hypothesis to which he simply remains as is. ]
CERES? [ No, not the time for that. ] I apologize for saying something to unsettle you.
[If they could, they should've highfived only for the agreement on being fine with some destruction. Good thing that it was just that vendor (for now), and everyone else can continue having fun. There were so many good/strange/expensive prizes to win as a souvenir. Also this means that she's allowed to be distracted because she's so worried.
She quickly shakes her head.] No no, it's not... [Straightening up, she tries to make herself look calmer than she is.] It's a possibility that one cannot ignore. I was just a little shocked, that is all.
[ Maybe there will be another time where they can high five...! Or at least Vietnam can offer the high five seeing that is not in the realm of things that Genos thinks to do after destruction. ]
I see, still I apologize. [ Giant beasts tamed and vendors no longer being shady... Genos can finally get back to enjoying the scenery again for what it was. It actually looks fun. You know, if Genos did fun. ] Shall we continue to explore the festival together? Or perhaps did you have to go back to meeting with someone else?
[ After all, she was there to help him. Surely she must have had other people to talk to. ]
[That's true, she can probably offer to highfive. Except she is less likely to highfive, and will consider asking him for a brofist since...Mercury taught her that months ago. What has that moron done.]
You are really too kind, Genos. [He shouldn't be, since he was the one who was caught in a terrible trap. But here he is, worrying about people around him, including her. But of course, if exploring the festival will help ease this matter and set it aside, she's totally willing. That and she actually thought he was looking for fun.]
I was exploring alone at the time, so I would love to continue with you. That is, if it is okay? [Only if he's willing! It might've been a coincidence she was there to help him, but she did enjoy the last trip with him. It should be (wait for it) a blast.]
[ Both of those things are still beyond the things that Genos will automatically think to do. Please Vietnam, show this young cyborg what it is to be a dude. ]
I would not mind the company. These things are said to be more enjoyable with company, after all. [ He doesn't know what to say about the kindness comment so he allows her to have it. It's not as if Genos doesn't think he's kind so... But when she asks him also for his own thoughts, he nods and gives what might be a very small smile. ]
Is there somewhere that had your interest in particular?
[It has to happen. Genos needs an education on how to be a modern man! ONLY THE COOLEST OF MEN CAN BROFIST (never mind that she's not a dude, tiny minor detail).]
Then I will accompany you. I already enjoy your company, so I think it really will be the case. [And look, he smiles! It's actually quite nice to see him relaxing. And not...a toaster.]
Hmm...[She tilts her head slightly, thinking.] I do find the games to be intriguing, and the food interesting though expensive. Oh! But that depends, do you want to stay here and look at the other stalls and games, first? Now that it looks...safer. [They can win him a nice prize to make up for all the crap he had to endure.]
[ You don't know need to be a dude to teach another dude how to dude. ...that sentence makes sense.
Also had this conversation be held with anyone else, they could have mistaken this for a date but seeing that it's between Genos and Vietnam—well, it's just a friendly outing between friends. ]
The games here are interesting. Some of them I haven't seen before. [ Genos will gesture to the one where it seems like the objective is to throw what looks like a banana into a hoop but also knock down pins? It's very perplexing and Genos wonders how the physics of it would work in reality. ]
But food would be the most important thing to look into first if you are currently hungry.
[It totally does. It's more Genos needs a dude expert!!!
The best friendly outing not!date they can have. It's technically their first too, considering the first involved a jungle and no picnic.
She looks over at the game that he gestured towards.] Goodness, I have never seen that game before either. [Is it like...banana boomeranging as well?!]
Ah, I am not hungry, I was just curious. Let us go inspect that game first!
[ Oh does he. Genos needs to learn what life is without revenge. And a friendly outing to totally make up for their first meeting is definitely a good plan. Even if it started off pretty rocky. ]
Yes, then let us go.
[ He'll give Vietnam a short nod before heading towards the booth, the vendor of this one a lot more pleasant if not a little odd. A small alien with colorful clothes and gives off a bit of a "spacey" air to her...at least Genos is almost certain that it's a female. ]
[She sure can teach him that, since that's what happens when you live an existence where you try ("try") to be good. Time to help him be zen! And true that. At least they can defeat any other bumps along this road.
Vietnam follows Genos until they stand right in front of the vendor. What a completely different alien, though. She looks pleasant enough.]
All you have to do is knock over the bottles with the fruit of the day! Of course the fruit has to fall through the maze first.
[ Genos is taking one look at this "maze" which looks something suited for a ping-pong ball at best and yet there is a small mound of bananas at the very top. It seems like a waste of food.
He'll turn to look at Vietnam a bit concerned. She may seem nice enough but...the whole thing seems impossible. ]
[ Maybe they'll be collected after all of this is over and passed out to whoever wants them? Honestly, Genos has no idea and he'll lean in and return the whisper. ]
I would not be opposed to looking elsewhere.
[ ...though all of this hush hush speaking doesn't go unnoticed and the vendor begins to look really distressed. ]
Is there something wrong? You know secrets aren't very nice!!
No you weren't! You were talking about leaving weren't you?!
[ Okay, but they had plenty reason for not wanting to walk down that path of rigged stands though Genos takes it a step further to "explain" the situation to the vendor. She seemed...nice enough? So maybe it wouldn't go poorly. ]
Your designed seems to be faulty. [ Never mind. ] Given the shape of the fruit you acquired and the hole for the maze it would be impossible for the desired outcome to happen. If you were to choose something much smaller, or at the very least round, then it would at least seem probable.
